To my Dear 7th Grade ELL Students:

I still cannot believe this is my 9th year at Stonewall Jackson as the 7th grade English and ELL teacher.  I know this will be another memorable year, and I hope the same is for you.  Like many of you, I once was an ELL student and a 7th grader at this school.  Mr. Agee was my 6th grade math teacher, and Mrs. Martin was my 7th grade English teacher.  I definitely had walked in your shoes; therefore, I have the confidence that you will also excel in everything you do if you are willing to give your 100 percent effort.  I hope this school year will be the year that you exceed everyone’s expectations, form lasting relationships, embrace your individualities, share your creativities, explore your dreams, take initiative, and be respectful toward one another and yourself.  I look forward to be your English and ELL teacher and your advocate.  Let’s make it a fabulous year!
